The Chapman Learning Commons, located on level 3 of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, includes two workshop spaces, the Dodson (302) and Lillooet (301) Rooms, which are available for booking. The Dodson and Lillooet Rooms are available to UBC users (faculty, staff, students) and the broader community. Room booking fees may apply.
Events and activities in the Dodson and Lillooet Room should contribute to lifelong learning for UBC and the broader community or to academic success by enhancing information technology skills, learning skills and by promoting unique learning opportunities. Events must be open to all students; have campus wide impact; and/or involve training faculty/staff who have a direct impact on enhancing student learning at UBC. Please note that we are unable to host closed events, meetings, classes, fundraisers, events that are commercial in nature, or concerts/recitals (with the exception of the Dodson Music Series).
Through the workshop space provided in the Chapman Learning Commons, we strive for an environment that fosters dialogue and discussion and that supports student learning. The Chapman Learning Commons management team reserves the right to make decisions around what events are deemed appropriate for our space.
