About the Small Business Accelerator Program
The Small Business Accelerator (SBA) is a trustworthy point of access to diverse sources of quality business planning information, education and assistance for B.C. entrepreneurs on the Internet. This program develops information services to help B.C. entrepreneurs, start-ups and businesses find the relevant information and tools to enhance market research that is a crucial part of sound business planning. This website was launched in beta in November 2010.
Get Involved
We value collaboration and appreciate the expertise of community support providers and information professionals in B.C. For example, we have benefited greatly from content contributions from the Vancouver Public Library and Simon Fraser University. If you help would-be starts ups or small businesses, and have resources, events or information to share, please contact us.
Business Research Training
We may be available to offer an introduction to self-employment and small business resources available on the Small Business Accelerator website. If you are interested in working with us to co-host a session in your community please contact us.

Licensing The Gale Virtual Business Plans Handbook For BC Public Libraries
As part of the Small Business Accelerator, and based of feedback from select communities, we licensed a popular electronic resource called the Business Plans Handbook for B.C. libraries. You can learn more on the Small Business Accelerator Website here.
Rural Community Service Learning Pilot
In October 2009 we partnered with UBC’s Community Learning Initiative and the UBC Sauder School of Business to initiate the community service-learning pilot project.
