About the Small Business Accelerator Program

SBA Logo

The Small Business Accelerator (SBA) is a trustworthy point of access to diverse sources of quality business planning information, education and assistance for BC entrepreneurs on the Internet. This program develops information services to help BC entrepreneurs, start-ups and businesses find the relevant information and tools to enhance market research that is a crucial part of sound business planning. This website was launched in beta in November 2010. Features include a collection of over 100 detailed, industry-specific, Accelerator Guides, website  sections devoted to the basics of starting, growing or running a BC business – and an active  blog covering a wide variety of  business topics.

Get Involved

We value collaboration and appreciate the expertise of community business support providers, government agencies and information professionals across BC. For example, many of our Accelerator Guides include content contributions from the Vancouver Public Library and Simon Fraser University Library.  We’ve also had  our partners share valuable insights on the SBA: Off the Ground blog including Enterprising Non-Profits (enp), Women’s Enterprise Centre, National Research Council – Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) Program, and many more. Please contact us if you help would-be starts ups or small businesses, and have resources, events or other information to share!
